Fressnapf makes animals’ eyes light up

Mulled wine, candlelight and the scent of fir trees. Yes, Christmas is in the air! For anyone thinking about gifts not only for their two-legged nearest and dearest, but also for their favourite four-legged friends, a visit to the local Fressnapf store is worthwhile. Europe’s largest specialty chain for pet food and accessories has a wide range of Christmas specialities and gifts on offer during the festive season.

Four-legged festive feast
Owners that would like to give their pet their own Christmas dinner, specially adapted to their requirements, need look no further than the special Christmas editions of the Fressnapf menu. Dogs can dine on moose and lamb with oatmeal and cranberries or goose and veal with apple, Spätzle and cheese from Fressnapf’s private label BIOPLAN. Game and poultry hearts with pear and hazelnut or duck with pumpkin and sesame seeds will make cats purr on Christmas Eve. All of the meals are “limited editions” with exclusive packaging designs. For a little snack every now and then or for something to nibble on, the Christmas edition of MultiFit Goodies XXL Mix gives cats and dogs little treats in wintery designs from Christmas tree to snowman.

The Christmas roast is not for pets!
“When the family gets together for their Christmas dinner, the pet’s faithful gaze will soften the heart of any owner”, explains Fressnapf spokesman Achim Schütz. “But it is really important to remember that not everything people enjoy eating is good for animals’ tummies. Chocolate is highly poisonous to cats’ and dogs’ digestive systems.” That makes the MultiFit advent calendar, specially developed for animals, the ideal choice for pet owners. The traditional Christmas roast is also too fatty and spicy for animals. Specially designed food, advent calendars and treats ensure pets feel part of the pre-Christmas spirit.

The most beautiful ...
Three quarters of all pet owners also put a gift under the tree for their beloved pet. MultiFit snacks in festive packaging make great little gifts because as we all know, the way to a pet’s heart is through their stomach. These snacks come in a handy gift box, for dogs and cats. “When it comes to classic gifts, pet owners love to give beautiful collars, toys or a new basket”, reveals Achim Schütz. On average, a pet owner will spend around 10 to 20 Euro’s on their animal’s Christmas.

... and quirky gifts
Fun presents find their way under the Christmas tree too: The trendy, lounge-look AniOne “Canapé Starlet-Sofa” will tempt a purr of satisfaction from fashionable felines. Cats also love to just hang out: The giraffe-print hammock is a special highlight. The AniOne “Mouse Racer” is a gift that owners will enjoy as much as cats: A small remote controlled mouse that encourages cats’ hunting instinct and play drive. Dogs, on the other hand, will be delighted with the back-friendly MORE4DOGS stainless steel food bar that makes food easy and comfortable to reach, even for large dogs. Beautiful clothes with fun motif prints or a classic Norwegian pullover will make owners glow with pride on any winter walk. Also at Christmas time, Fressnapf offers everything you could wish for – just “everything for my pet”.
